Make CentOS look Like Redhat

CentOS - For the most part it looks and acts like Redhat without the steep, steep price. Unfortunately, some products (Montavista, we are looking at you) want that Redhat experience. How do we fool these programs? Easy....

Many systems look for something that they can depend on, in the case of Montavista, it is the file:

/etc/redhat-release

The contents of the file are as follows:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant)

I am currently using CentOS 4 and it works perfectly. Montavista has no idea that it isn't Redhat!
